YAS-480 Intermediate Eb Alto Saxophone Lacquer. The Yamaha YAS-480 alto saxophone offers exceptionally accurate intonation, a warm tone, and a rapid response, with a design influenced by high-end Yamaha saxophones. It is lightweight but robust, and it includes a professional-quality 62-style neck for a more mature tone. The hand-engraved pattern on the YAS-480 bell lends a touch of refinement to the instrument and endears it to its owner. The revised octave key system allows players to choose between the supplied 62-style neck and those intended for Yamaha's Custom Z and Custom EX models.saxophones. The new 62-style neck that comes with the guitar has been modified for better tone and response. The individual key guards have adjustable screw cap stoppers for professional-style technical adjustments, and the left-hand seesaw key has been engineered to boost playability while also providing a more comfortable feel. The YAS-480 has an upgraded mechanism from low B-C# that enables constant shutting of the low C# key and promotes a clear response from notes in the instrument's low range.
