MODX8 is a synthesiser with an 88-note, weighted keyboard action that is ideal for piano players looking for a piano-focused instrument with a wide range of sounds. Yamaha has been producing industry-leading synthesisers for over four decades, while piano craftsmanship stretches back 125 years. MODX is a result of this.
The MODX synthesis engine is driven by the same technology that powers the flagship MONTAGE: AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory 2) and FM-X (Frequency Modulation), upgraded for contemporary and complicated sound design. When you combine the AWM2's 128-note polyphony with the FM-64-note X's polyphony, you have a powerhouse of possibilities without sacrificing any other capabilities.
